The Westfield offense came out swinging and got out to a 9-0 lead after 3 innings. Devin Anderson and Chris Boutsikaris each had 2 hits and RBIs. Chris Rinaldi added a 2 run double off of the left center field wall and J. Mack Rembisz and Eric Varakian each had clutch hits during Westfield rallies. Chris Varano closed things out with a towering homerun that cleared the fence in straight away center which gave Westfield a 10-0 lead.
Michael Friel and Varano each threw two shutout innings and Scott Tupper closed things out with a scoreless 5th to preserve the mercy rule shortened game.
