Varano, Murray and Mobarakai Lead Westfield Past Springfield

Chris Varano hit two long home runs and drove in 5 runs to lead Westfield past Springfield 12-2 in Central Jersey Baseball League action.   Varano connected on a 3 run blast to deep left field in the 1st inning and a 2 run shot to center field in the 3rd.  Hopper Murray's bat was on fire as well and he had a single and a double and 3 runs batted in for Westfield.  Michael Mobarakai and Chris Rinaldi each had 2 hits a piece as the Westfield offense exploded for 12 hits in the 4 inning, mercy ruled shortened contest.

While Westfield's offense was busy with the bats, Michael Mobarakai was hard at work shutting down the Springfield offense.  Mobarakai threw 3 innings and only allowed one hit.  Devin "Big Dog" Anderson and Liam Heinbokel followed Mobarakai and closed things out on the hill for Westfield.

Next up for Westfield White is Westfield Blue on Saturday at 10 AM on Gumbert Field #2.
